A two-day calligraphy workshop, led by the esteemed certified calligrapher Ustaz J.M. Uvais, provided a rare opportunity for budding artists to refine their skills. Out of 500 applicants, only 25 talented individuals were selected after a rigorous written and artistic assessment, conducted with the assistance of Haji Noordeen.
The workshop, generously sponsored by individual donors, MRCA, and MOPSMA, featured three main programsaimed at enhancing participants’ expertise in traditional and modern calligraphy techniques. The immersive experience allowed attendees to gain hands-on training, develop artistic precision, and appreciate the elegance of this ancient art form.
With expert guidance and a keen focus on artistic expression, the workshop proved to be a valuable platform for nurturing calligraphic talent and preserving this timeless craft.
